If you'd told us back in 2007 that A2Z DESIGNS would one day be wrapping cars and installing shopfront signage, we probably would have laughed. Back then, we were a small studio doing one thing: building websites for local Melbourne businesses.
The pattern was always the same. We'd build a client a website, they'd be happy with it, and a few months later we'd get a call: "Any chance you also do business cards?" We didn't, at first. But it kept happening — enough times that it stopped feeling like a coincidence and started feeling like a gap we could actually fill.
So we did. Printing came first — business cards, flyers, the everyday stuff a growing business needs. It made sense: we already understood these clients' branding inside and out, because we'd built their websites. Handing that same brand to a separate printer down the road, who'd never see the site or the story behind it, felt like a waste.
Once we were producing print, signage was the obvious next question. Clients who trusted us with their stationery started asking about shopfront signs, banners, and window decals. Then it was vehicles — "can you wrap the work van while you're at it?" Each new service came from a real client asking for it, not from a plan we'd written down somewhere.
That's the honest version of how A2Z DESIGNS became a full-service creative agency. Not a grand strategy — just saying yes to the next reasonable thing a client we already trusted was asking for, and taking the time to get genuinely good at it before saying yes to the one after that.
What hasn't changed through any of that is who we are. A2Z DESIGNS is a family business, and it's run like one. There's no call centre between you and the person doing your job, no account manager relaying messages back and forth. The people who quote your job are often the same people producing it.
That's the part we're most protective of as we've grown. It would have been easy, at some point between the first website and the hundredth vehicle wrap, to lose that. We haven't, and we don't plan to.
